From unboxing to first print; 30 minutes. No issue and easy to setup.

This is my first 3d printer ever, and my first experience with 3d printing. I did a lot of research before I chose the CR-10 smart, mostly due to the quiet motherboard, the heated bed, and the overall bed size. Time from unboxing to printing was a little more than an hour. After two failed test prints of the "dog" model I did a little research and upped the bed temp, no more problems. I've been printing non stop for not quite a week, so far so good. I'm a IT Specialist so maybe I have an unfair advantage when it comes to this kind of thing, but I think this is a great printer for a first timer.

Love this printer. My 1st and I did a lot of research. Great printer for 1st-time users and the auto bed leveling and duel z-axis makes printing a dream. Love the touch-sensitive controls - which is a breeze to operate ( why but a printer with a dial?)
